I just learned today about Mark's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Mark's family and band mates.

I was able to put together my personal schedule by following the simple directions. So easy - great idea!

We have always wanted to do a Set of Beatle Movie Tunes. After a “Hard Day’s Night” of rehearsals “Yesterday” we remembered the “Things We Said Today” and I said “Tell Me Why” “You Can’t Do That”? I told the rest of the Band “I Need You” to “Help” me get the set together.
I said “If I Fell” off the track and wasn’t getting it done, don’t worry because “I’ll Be Back” to work quickly.

Anyway, I know that money “Can’t Buy Me Love” so we are doing this set for you at no extra charge at AROTR Sunday 2:30 PM Fountain Stage. When you get your “Ticket To Ride” to AROTR Louisville you can be sure that we understand what it means to you “It’s Only Love”, and we get that. First of all, we all will miss Mark Eskin in Louisville this May - he certainly was a familiar face and a very talented musician. It would not surprise me if Instant Karma performs a tribute to Mark. Second, I understand that Drew Harrison will be in Louisville; however, I do not see him listed in the Lineup section. Please confirm that he is still coming. Just saw Eight Days A Week at our teachers convention two weeks ago and they were awesome. Gary, thank you for posting the non-smoking policy on the web page! This has been an issue for our family in the past as my husband gets migraines when he's exposed to secondhand smoke. In previous years, I've complained to security about it, but they just blew me off. Looking forward to enjoying lots of smoke-free jams.

Brandon and I have been going to AROTR since 2005. It's always good to see Instant Karma and the energy they generate. Mark be right there with them again this year, we know he'll be there.

Dear Friends, John probably said it as well as it can be said. To add a bit, the joy is just a bit tinier when any artist moves on. That is true with Mark's loss to us all. Debbi was so helpful with everything; Flo was so strong to worry about Mark's network as she faced her own much greater loss. I discussed with Debbi and then, for us all, sent a spring flower arrangement with this message:

We´re shocked about the passing away of Mark Eskin. I´m sure that AROTR and the community of US musicians have lost one of their most gifted guitar-players. I saw the band play many times and always was amazed by his perfomance. Our deepest condolences to his wife, his family and his band!

I feel honored and priviledged to have shared the stage with Mark, right here at AROTR in Ringo's All Star Show, a few years back. He was a multi-talented, music loving man. We were so saddened to hear of Mark Eskin's sudden passing this morning. Our entire family have enjoyed Mark's many talents for 5-6 years now and one of my favorite memories of Mark will always be his late night sing-a-longs at Abbey Road. He was like the energizer bunny, playing and singing to all hours of the morning!!!
I am sure he is jammin with John & George up in Heaven by now!!! Our love and prayers go out to Flo and their entire family!!!

I got to know Mark last year in Louisville when our bands wound up on some of the same featured shows together. He knew the notes, had the tones and loved swapping fab stories while we hung around at rehearsals. My fondest memory from last Spring is of Sunday's all nighter around the piano in the atrium of the Galt House. Seemed we played and sang most every Beatle song under the sun and Mark was in the thick of it on piano, vocals with a face that radiated his sheer joyfulness over the music. That's how I'll remember him always. Deepest condolences to Mark's family, bandmates and his extended AROTR family who he touched with his love of the Beatles every time he played. God rest ya Mark and please say hello to John and George from all of us down here.

After hearing of the passing of Mark Eskin, words aren't easy to come by. We've lost one of our own. A great musician, a great guy, and a great Beatles fan. As a whole, and individually, we Sun Kings had the privilege to spend time with Mark, not only as a musician, but as a person as well. Both were amazing experiences. He knew his Beatles, and was a true pleasure to hang around with. AROTR has introduced us to so many great people from around the world. To have to say goodbye to one so prematurely really hurts. I was shocked to hear of Mark Eskin's sudden passing.....We just communicatd on FB a few days ago, even though it was accidental, on his part. At least, I was able to greet him and say I was looking forward to seeing him soon. One never knows from one moment to the next, what life has in store for each one of us. Mark was a humble and yet great musician. He will be missed by all who knew him and were a part of his life. My thoughts and prayers are especially with Mark's family and friends, Instant Karma band members, and those closest to him. Today - thinking about what musicians leave behind when they pass on. Not just notes that dissapate into thin air - but also memories that build up from all the aural joy that is created. We all benefit from that and we are all 'in the audience' in the presence of good music. Mark made that kind of sweet memory for al...l of us who heard him play - from Liverpool to Louisville - and we will remember....and smile.

My favorite memory is dinner in London in 2005 with Mark and Flo and the Instant Karma guys and gals after our trip to Liverpool. That trip was a first for all of us and that made it more special, and then sharing those memories afterward. Shine on Mark!!

Upon awakening, I just learned that Instant Karma guitarist and long time AROTR friend, Mark Eskin passed away yesterday. I am in shock and have no idea what happened. I only know he will really be missed by his band, and mostly his dear friends and family. His wife Flo is a fixture, too, at AROTR. For the next 24 hours this board will be dedicated to Mark. If you have comments, remembrance, feel free to leave them.
