Brian Ray's, "Reluctant Rock God" who plays with Paul, eletter has the thought. Being one with thousands of like-minded happy people is astounding. It's the FABulous music, but it's the people who come to hear that music and gather to have our own reunion. If you could choose your family for a reunion, this is what you would have. Over 20,000 of your best friends, some you've not yet met, including blessed people who share their gift of music with us all and each other. The energy and joy is palpable and resets your psyche like little else can. Here's what Brian said about their Up & Coming Tour>>: "An astounding phenomena to be a part of...There is a circle of energy between the audience and the singer, the singer and the band -all of us together- with the crowd giving it all back to us, 'round and 'round it goes.. An astounding phenomena to be a part of, for sure. If only we could bottle that energy, maybe we could stop "drill, baby, drilling"! Apparently some in the crowd were getting annoyed at a long haired dude singing along with us at the top of his lungs to every song and another headbanging guy in the box next to him, air drumming like a Muppet.. Just as the annoyed people were about to say something to the upstarts, they realized it was Steven Tyler singing along and Dave Grohl on "air drums" and goin NUTS, Hahahaha! As the old saying goes, "No one is Beatle proof"." Don't we know that! Cannot wait to rejoin the Abbey Road on the River Universe. 32 days Beatle People. Thanks so, Gary. Hi all,

Thanks to everyone whom has asked or sent emails to us. As I explained to Gary Jacob, this last year and the economy has taken a giant personal toll on me, which has effected our group.

We are still together, and have been performing under a different monnicker called "Off The Record" performing classic rock, 80's and current top 40 dance. We lost our female keyboardist last year shortly after we headlined at BB Kings in New York. At that point, we were feeling Hi Hi HI as a group. The 2009 economy decimated our schedule, and I personally became unemployed for almost 1 year. In that time, I basically lost all my finances and savings, had my car re-posessed as well as had to sell the bands main road truck which we all travelled in.

Since then, I have been back in college full time attaining my masters in Finance, and have been studying for the CPA exam, which I'm almost finished with.

We do have a new female vocalist now, and she is fantastic, so we will be reviving the show for late 2010 and 2011. We are out performing gigs here and there, but local to Chicago for now.

Unfortunately, due to these circumstances this year's Abbey Road was turning in to a budgetary and logistical mess for us. We hope that Gary will have us back in 2011 as we love performing for you all.

Sincerely,
Ron Starr & BOTR members

Deb,
advice for the newbie. Bring a little patience for the elevators in the hotel and for the check-in/check out. If you have that you'll find that 99.9% of the people you meet are in great spirits and you'll have a great time. Explore the hotel and park and check out 4th Street Live, a short walk from the hotel.

I'm thinking about trying to get the Galt House to play my "Percy Faith and his Orchestra" "Beatles Album" music in the hotel elevators. Percy Faith basically invented the (mostly despised) elevator music genre and he put out a Beatles album about 30 years ago.

It's not the best cover of the Beatles, but I think it would be funny.

It's great to see the guest book is being used again. We all are excilted to see the days going by and AROTR is getting closer. A lot of us already have our packing planned and every thing ready to go. I see many recognizable names of people I've met over the years. As more and more people find there way to AROTR I sometimes miss seeing my old friends in person. With the onset of a new year there always new frineds to be made. It's great to hear the new groups and seeing some of our old favorites bands is a big plus. Over the years the weather has always been nice and hot with last year being a bit cooler than usual. I prefer the hot sun in order to get my early bird tan. Has any weather forcast been made yet? Karen
